Our resident archer Cristiana has been working on some DIY larp foam arrows, and firing them at us for the past couple of sessions. Last session it was her turn to be on the receiving end. Ironically it was Rui who received the larger amount of hits while she escaped unscathed.
This is a fun addition to our sparring as it adds an extra layer of pressure, depending how we take it, to try and dodge (to an extent) the arrows. Keep in mind that we’re under a lot of constraints firing these and obviously they will never be the real thing, so take this as a training tool and something fun rather than something historically accurate per se.
These are DIY arrows and we will be uploading a video on them as soon as we have it ready. We have thoroughly tested them and we’ll give you more info on them in the upcoming video.
